高村隶属虎邱镇，在镇区西南约7.5公里处，坐落于欧村尖山（海拔约1057米）的山腰。古称菇村，后改为高村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

古时村周森林茂密，盛产香菇，故称菇村。「菇」与「高」音近，村子又地处山坡，遂改名为高村。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，此地隶属上林东，称高春。民国时期改称高村。解放后归林东管辖。[1][2]

1965年，此地自西坪划出，改隶虎邱公社。1982年4月，高村从林东大队分出，自成一个大队；1984年改设高村村委会，村委会驻土楼，下辖6个自然村。[1][2][3]

人口与民族[edit]

荣誉[edit]

2022年1月，村里被认定为「安溪县2020-2021年度文明村镇」。[2]
