西头村是福建省泉州市惠安县净峰镇下辖的行政村，位于镇区西北部，距镇区约4公里[2]。村名由来：元大德时期张氏村民迁来，因建居在狮山之首，得名狮头；狮与“狮子”谐音，亦称西头[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

元代此地属文质乡延寿里，明清时期为三十一都山前铺的一部分，民国时期归净峰乡延寿保[2]。1949年9月划入东岭区延寿乡，1958年为飞跃公社的延寿大队，1961年分出为净峰公社的狮头大队，1985年改设狮头村委会[2]。

本村下辖四个自然村，居民均姓张[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

张岳家庙位于本村，始建于明洪武二年（1369年），此后多次扩建；建筑坐西朝东，前为门厅，中有天井与西廊，后为祀厅[2][3]。

龙山书院与张岳家庙仅隔一巷，系元代张性祐（泉州翼百户）所建，明洪武年间由其孙张彦宗加以扩建[3]。

著名人物[edit]

张岳字维乔，号净峰，明朝中期大臣，据村概况，他生于本村一带，官至右都御史，卒后赠太子少保，谥襄惠[2][4]。
