岭下村位于新桥乡东部，南靠汾信村，东与上青乡相连，北邻枫源村和上青乡，西界新桥村。村部驻岭下，海拔480米，是全乡海拔最低的村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时，岭下属绥城乡清泰里上高保。1931年至1934年苏维埃时期，村里成立岭下乡苏维埃政府，隶属新桥区。此后1934年6月起归五区管辖，1940年划入安仁乡，1941年转属崇高乡，1944年改属崇仁乡，1948年复归崇高乡。[2]

新中国成立后，1950年12月起至1951年12月止期间，村中设岭下乡政府，归第四区管辖。1958年起成为岭下生产大队，归上游公社统辖，次年改属朱口公社，1961年转入新桥公社。1984年9月起改称村民委员会，归新桥乡管辖。[2]

经济[edit]

村中土地肥沃，气温较高，适宜粮食与烟草生产，是全乡粮食主产村之一。1997年，岭下村被定为省级商品粮基地。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

岭下郎官第邓氏祖厝建于清代，位于岭下行政村，列入县文物普查名录。[3]
