西华村位于中仙镇西部，与德化县相毗邻，距镇政府约18千米，距尤溪县城约54千米。[2]

村中有明山湖与陈氏聚奎华等景致和古迹，2017年和2019年先后列入省级与国家级传统村落名录。[1][2]

地名[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，村名的来历与「水头十八凤，水尾十八狮」的古传有关；村子山清水秀、资源丰富，又有「华山」之称。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明正德年间，此地仍属尤溪县二十三都。1943年划归清华乡，解放初隶第五区。1958年组建西华大队，1984年大队转为西华村。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村地平坦似「人字形」，一条河流婉转而过，两岸绿柳相随，一条水泥路横贯全村。东边有尖美崎山峰，西边有明山湖，山巅有天然湖与圣王琳宫。[2]

文化[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，清代顺治、嘉庆、同治年间，村中出过三名进士。村中的汉剧戏团与木偶剧，曾在邻近几县演出，20世纪80年代获尤溪地方戏奖。[2]

经济[edit]

村地以「一烟一稻」模式调整产业结构，是中仙乡烟叶种植第一村，村内土地肥沃，矿产资源丰富。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

陈氏聚奎华的结构如棋盘，溪流穿过其间，被列为省级文物保护单位。村中严氏中安宗祠也是村里的古建筑。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2017年8月，西华村列入「福建省第二批省级传统村落」名录。[1]

2019年6月，西华村列入「第五批中国传统村落」名录。[1]

建置[edit]

2024年10月，县政府公布的第一批传统风貌建筑名录中，西华村后垅仔113号的长发堂列于其中。[3]
