岭下村位于中仙镇中部，村部设在岭下自然村，全村由3个自然村组成，南面与吉华村毗连，西面与苏峰村为邻。[1]

地名[edit]

村子周边的几条去路都要翻山岭，村址又处在岭的尾部，故取名岭下。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时此处在尤溪县二十二都之中，民国时期归仙林乡苏峰保。1952年时，岭下、上庄两处并入苏峰乡，江下则属中仙乡。1958年并入苏峰大队；1961年又分出，独立为岭下大队，1984年改为岭下村。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村里水利资源丰富，建有后亭溪流域的二级水电站。[2]

经济[edit]

村民以农业为主，兼营林业，盛产毛竹；芙蓉李等经济林也是重要收入来源。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中水尾处的灵龟亭建在八十多米高的瀑布悬崖上，1966年后毁于「文革」，1991年村民捐资重建。[2]
