北门社区位于尤溪县城关镇城区北部，前身为大埔山居委会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区前身为大埔山居委会，建于1988年8月。1999年8月，因区划调整改名为北门社区居民委员会。[1]

人口与辖区[edit]

社区东起沈城影院一带，西边到埔山路，南面临七五路与解放路，辖区约0.4平方千米。下辖13个居民小组，博雅地名网所载为1736户、5418人，未注统计年份。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2004年至2007年间，社区曾获县里的综治与平安建设工作先进集体称号。2008年，社区下属劳动保障工作站被县里评为统筹城乡就业工作先进单位。[1]
