中山社区位于宁化县城区东部，属翠江镇。社区名为纪念孙中山而取。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属县城中的兴贤坊，民国时期属第一区城东镇，设中山、中东、公园、东街四保。解放初此处为中山乡；1956年设立中山居民办事处，1969年组建中山居民委员会，1984年改属翠江镇。[1]
