高桥村是高桥镇下辖的行政村，位于省道304线沿线，是高桥集镇所在地，镇里的经济与文化活动多集中于此。四面的邻村依次为安田村、新桥村、新坡村与官林窠村。[1][2]

全村有4个村民小组，共842户2552人（该页未注明统计年份）。[1]

2021年11月，被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村名来自宋代张氏高中状元后在境内修桥的旧事。[3]

此地明代属沙县十三都，清代沿袭未变。民国时期归高桂乡的高桥保；1951年改为六区高桥乡，1956年并入夏茂区。[4]

1958年隶属高潮公社，设高桥大队，次年该公社改称高桥。1984年改设高桥村村民委员会，此名至今沿用。[4]
