莲花社区位于沙县区城区北部，是凤岗街道下辖的社区。社区东界在府北路与西山路的西侧，西界到三官堂路与长富南路，南面靠铁路，北面以金沙园区为邻，全区面积约56万平方米。[1]

社区名称来自此地原有的莲花新村。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1998年8月5日，设立莲花居民委员会；2001年6月26日，改为莲花社区居民委员会。[2]

社区住户有2460户，居民7280人。党员有95名，居委会成员5名。[2]

荣誉与活动[edit]

2022年12月，社区被命名为「2022年福建省卫生社区」。社区以党建为引领，推行网格化管理，并组织太极拳剑队、柔力球队、门球队等文体队伍。[1][2]
