高山村在三元区东南部，背靠龙天岩山，南面与永安市贡川镇张荆村接壤，距城镇15公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村中一支祖先于明景泰元年入闽，定居于高山；另一支自江西入闽，定居于发龙峰一带，据史料推算，迁入已有八百多年。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子依山而建，石径盘绕向上，民居以木柱承重，散布在半山间；村中的古祠几经修葺，仍保留原貌。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

鸡金山是村内海拔最高处，登临山顶可远眺永安市与三明市区。村内瀑布分为三级，总落差六百多米；古龙王庙下的龙王塘是古时百姓祈雨的地方，如今也是避暑的去处。[1]

经济[edit]

毛竹是村中的主要经济来源，村里还出产笋干，特早蜜桔、芦柑与雪柑也有一定产量。[1]
