村子处于榜头东北角，山脚下就是旧时的何岭古道。东北与钟山镇相邻，西面接通仙庄公路，南边是何麓村，北边背靠何岭。村子是革命老区的基点村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2005年至2008年，村被县委、县政府授予「县平安村」称号；2006年至2011年，被授予「县文明村」称号；2008年，获「拥军优属先进单位」称号。[1]

2012年，村的森林防火扑火中队获福建省第二护林联防区委员会授予的护林联防工作先进单位称号。[1]
