南溪村位于榜头镇政府驻地西北方向约3公里处，村委会设在南峰，村民聚居在塔山与葫芦山之间的仙水溪畔。村子是老区的革命基地村。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

村子原来的地名是“紫溪”，民国年间改名为“安闲里”。1958年公社化后设为南溪大队，1984年改为榜头镇南溪村委会。[1]

村内自然村有南峰、梧墩、新旗、新溪、卧龙等，合计30个村民小组。[1]

经济[edit]

村内的耕地以水稻、花生、甘薯和荷兰豆为主。山地多种马尾松，并出产龙眼、芒果和枇杷等水果。村里有古典工艺家具厂近三十家。[1]
