岭下社区是禾山街道下辖的村改居社区，位于湖里区东北部。2001年4月，它随原县后村委会的拆分而设立，下辖墩上、岭下、下忠三个自然社。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

原县后村委会于2001年4月分出坂尚、岭下、围里三个村委会，岭下于2003年改为社区，同年12月转为村改居。[2]

2008年，墩上社与岭下社整体拆迁，此后建成阳光公寓与金福源两个安置小区；下忠社仍保持城中村的结构。[2]

社区在2024年1月获得2023年福建省卫生社区的命名。[2]

地理环境[edit]

社区四至大致为：东边枋钟路，西边钟宅新家园，北边五缘湾环岛干道，南边枋湖北二路。[1] 快懂百科描绘的四至与此不同，东西两侧分别标为前哨盐场与埭辽水库。[3]
