山边社区位于东孚街道最西部，东连莲花社区，西邻漳州市角美街道，成立于1962年，是东孚街道唯一的城中村社区。[1][2][3]

社区辖区面积3.96平方千米，由东坂、山边、崎头、浦头、下土楼、大庵六个自然村组成。社区是东孚工业区的主要所在地。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

山边一带旧属积善里山边保，抗战期间归角尾乡东坂保与山边保。1958年10月设东孚公社山边大队，1962年析出寨后大队，1984年改设东孚乡山边村委会。2015年，山边村民委员会撤销，改设山边社区居民委员会。[2][5]

地理环境[edit]

社区靠324国道一线，北接寨后社区，南临东埔社区。[2]

经济[edit]

2001年，社区引进企业，设立东孚工业区，此后陆续推进「就地城市化」建设。2008年开展旧村改造，2013年7月被确定为「美丽厦门·共同缔造」市级唯一农村试点。社区内的企业以运动器材、塑胶制品、酿酒、水泥、电子、精细化工和机械制造为主。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

社区内有五山李氏宗祠、大庵迎仙宫、李氏家庙、圣仁宫、慈善宫、德云宫和抚顺将军庙等祠庙，另有三处列入文化保护的古民居。[2]

著名人物[edit]

明代抗倭名将李良钦出生于此，他率乡民修建龙安寨，人称良钦公，其故里即在社区内。[1][4]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，山边社区被命名为「2023年福建省卫生社区」。[2]
