莲花社区位于东孚街道中部，辖区面积约4.2平方千米，下辖莲花、茂林、南山、汤岸四个自然小组。[1]

社区因辖内池塘错落、形如莲花图案而得名，2013年由莲花村改设为社区。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1987年7月，莲花村从过坂村析设。2013年，经区政府常务会议批复，把莲花村民委员会改为莲花社区居民委员会。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

社区内的古迹包括宝莲宫、陈氏家庙莲山堂，以及陈文川、陈占源两座旧宅，另有一方温泉铭碑。[1]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月授予莲花社区「2021年福建省卫生社区」称号。2023年2月，入选「福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。2023年8月，被认定为「2022年厦门市一村一品专业村」，特色为民宿。[1]
