北门村位于福建省福州市平潭县海坛街道潭城镇西北部，村下辖七个街庄，有16个村民小组。北街头矗立着一座门洞式的拱门，人们称之为北拱门；拱门以外的一带则叫北门外。常住人口4911人，农业人口1776人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

自设立潭城镇以来，北门一带便是镇辖的村。1958年下半年人民公社成立，镇内农户统归一个城关大队。1972年该大队分为四个生产大队，北门外的五个自然村改组为北门大队。1984年改为村委会。[1]

地名与古迹[edit]

北街头的拱门上题有“北门锁钥”四字，是时任县长林荫的题字。[1]
