山边村位于漳港街道东部，漳古线与峡漳线贯穿村域，距福州长乐国际机场约6公里，村庄面积约2.5平方千米。[1]

2020年，山边村被列为福州市美丽乡村再提升村庄。2023年11月，被认定为2023年度福州市「绿盈乡村」建设中级版村庄。2024年1月，被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1][2]

地名与沿革[edit]

村名取自村旁的元帅吉山。[1]

1949年后隶属演屿乡政府，此后数次划分大队，1986年设立村委会，沿用至今。[1]
