谢村社区在康桥街道驻地西南约2公里，西靠京杭运河，南与上塘街道的瓜山社区相邻，北以平安桥社区为界，辖7个自然组。[1]

社区原叫聚村。博雅地名网称，1956年因修建码头，聚村被拆迁到现址，并改名谢村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初期为杭县康桥乡的谢村行政村。1955年成立初级农业社，1956年改为高级农业合作社，1958年归四维公社康桥管理区，成为谢村生产队。1967年为康桥公社的谢村大队，1985年改名谢村村委会。[1]

社区撤村建居的时间，博雅地名网两处不同：概况作2009年12月撤村建居，历史沿革作2008年撤行政村建社区。[1][2]
