白石社区位于笕桥街道东南，前身为白石村，2007年撤村建社区。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

原村委会驻白石庙，社区因此得名。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年归入笕桥人民公社，称白石大队；1964年一度改称东方红大队，1974年又恢复白石大队的名称，1981年定为白石村，1984年列为白石行政村。[2]

博雅地名网的社区页记为2010年5月因东站大项目建设整村拆迁，其历史沿革列表则记为2007年撤村建社区。[1][2]
