新平村在汕尾市海丰县平东镇西北部，是公平水库的移民村，离镇政府约3公里，有8个自然村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新平大队设于1958年，1974年起隶平东公社，1984年称新平乡，1987年为平东镇新平村委会，1989年改管理区办事处，1998年复称村委会。[1]
经济与荣誉[edit]
