双墩村在汕尾市海丰县平东镇南侧，离镇区约3千米，有10个自然村，其前身是公平水库的移民回迁点。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1964年撤销公平农场后，原公平水库的九个移民村从可塘、公平等地回迁到农场场部一带定居，取名双墩村，并以此设双墩大队，属公平公社。1974年归平东公社，1984年称双墩乡，1987年为双墩村委会，1989年改管理区办事处，1998年复称村委会。[1]
经济与荣誉[edit]
博雅地名网引述：545户、3072人，耕地4239亩（水田1150亩、旱地3089亩）。[1] 荣誉有三项：2022年1月，省乡村振兴局把双墩列为2021年度乡村治理示范村的创建单位；2023年5月，获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号；2024年4月，进入省第一批乡村振兴示范村的创建名单。[1]
