下翁村是兴宁市黄陂镇的行政村，村情资料记全村1540人、315户，分16个村民小组，耕地577亩，山林4500多亩。[1]
名称由来[edit]
村子紧靠翁公水库，又在翁公溪的下游，所以叫“下翁”。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1919至1957年称下翁乡，1958至1983年为下翁大队，随后设下翁乡政府；1986年起称管理区，1999年改称下翁村委会。[1]
