双溪村在平远县河头镇，面积7.6平方千米，下设11个村民小组，有328户、1293人。[1]
地名由来[edit]
河头河与中行河在村里汇合，再向南流去，村因两条溪水而名双溪。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
最初是1949年的双溪乡，1958年成为生产大队。1983年它与河清村合并为河溪乡，1987年两村分开，各设村民委员会；1989年改叫管理区，1999年起重称双溪村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
耕地828亩，种甜玉米、三华李和柑橘，上一年农村经济总收入732万元。[1]从县城驶来的人，路过双溪村可以看到两河交汇处，再往上游便是向阳村。[2]
