珠坑村在平远县河头镇东部，面积4.6平方千米，下设5个村民小组，有138户、541人。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村里有一条约5千米长的谷地，传说谷地尽头曾有一个出产红珠的宝珠洞，村因此叫珠坑。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立初期与河头村同属一个高级农业合作社，1958年同归河头大队；1961年分出，称珠坑大队，1963年重新并入河头大队，1978年再次分出。其后1983年称乡，1987年起设村民委员会，1989年改叫管理区，1999年重新定为村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
耕地495亩，种西瓜、甜玉米、仙人草和山苍子，建有山苍子示范基地，上一年农村经济总收入373万元。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
珠坑古驿道在河头、东石两镇交界的山上，西端起于珠坑村，东到东石镇双石村，全长4.24公里，徒步走完全程要翻过一座山。平远文旅称，它在土地革命时期是联通闽粤赣三省边县苏区的秘密运输线之一。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，珠坑村名列省2018年度“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位。[1]
