澄湖村是广东省梅州市五华县水寨镇下辖的行政村，村名与“澄湖白鳝卷湖”的说法有关。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据说古时澄湖一带地势低洼，湖泊众多，临近江河；潮州沿海的白鳝到产卵季节，会聚集到这些湖里，因此有“澄湖白鳝卷湖”之称，村名由此而来。^[1]

解放前属七都约；1949年至1977年属水寨公社；1978年至1982年属城镇公社，称澄湖乡；澄湖管理区之名始于1987年，澄湖村民委员会始于1999年。^[1]

澄湖村在广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位2018年度名单中，于2019年9月入选。^[1]
