坝美村是广东省梅州市五华县水寨镇下辖的行政村，前身是桑园围。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子前身叫桑园围，因种桑树而得名。明朝洪武年间（1372年），王监公祠建成；王监公从寨肚的文世王公祠迁来此地建祠定居。1986年王氏将大楼迁建到高车坝，因这座大楼被称为“坝美大楼”，村名随之而来。^[1]

解放后的高级社叫坝美高级社，公社化后成为坝美大队，1999年从上坝管理区分出，另立坝美村民委员会。^[1]

坝美村由广东省爱国卫生运动委员会在2017年10月评为第一批广东省卫生村。^[1]
