历史沿革[edit]

相传琴江河的旧河道曾经穿过本村，村子正处在这段河道的尽头，所以叫河尾。^[1]

建国初期归水寨公社；1973年属城镇公社；1982年设河尾管区；1984年冬并入玉一管理区；1999年改设河尾村民委员会，沿用至今。^[1]

河尾村在广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位2018年度名单中，于2019年9月入选；2022年度五华县文明村镇称号于2023年2月授予。^[1]
