地名由来[edit]
村子沿着一条很长的坑（山间小溪沟）展开，村形秀美，故名坑美。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1960年为坑美大队，1987年设坑美管理区，至1999年成为坑美村民委员会，此后未变。[1]坑美村在2017年10月被省爱国卫生运动委员会授予「第一批广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
以祯居（蒲风故居）是清代古建筑，梅州市人民政府于2016年6月29日把它列入第四批文物保护单位。[2]
著名人物[edit]
蒲风生于1911年，本名黄日华，出生在坑美村，诗人，1932年前往上海参与发起中国诗歌会，1942年去世。[3]
