大密村是梅州市梅江区长沙镇的革命老区村，距梅州城区约12公里，在2001年9月由埕石、樟坑、大密三村并成。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
大密、樟坑、埕石三村在清代属罗衣堡，民国时期随罗衣乡。公社化时各为一个大队；1983年各自改乡，隶长沙区，1987年改设村委会，归长沙镇。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村有18个村民小组，在册418户、1572人，总面积29平方千米，耕地1116亩。作物有水稻、花生、玉米和甘蔗，并建有养鱼基地，养殖四大家鱼和观赏鱼200多亩；2009年人均收入4464元。[2]村里的路灯工程（约12万元）和冬修水渠工程（10万元）靠省政协扶持、乡贤捐款和村民集资完成。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2008年梅州市评其为「先进生态示范村」。[2]2020年8月，大密村（茶叶）入选首批「广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」名单；同年12月进入「广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”」创建单位名单；2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局把它定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2026年1月，又列入「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
