小密村在梅州市梅江区南部，属长沙镇，离梅州城区约10公里，村委会设在排子上。2001年9月由原来的大坑村和小密村合并而成。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
小密、大坑两村在清代同属罗衣堡，民国时期随罗衣乡，新中国成立初期归梅南区。公社化时分别为小密大队和大坑大队，后来划入长沙人民公社；1983年各自改乡，隶长沙区，到1987年才改设村委会，归长沙镇。[1]地名据博雅地名网，因原有小蜜自然村而得。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村有21个村民小组，在册502户、1963人，总面积25平方千米，耕地706亩。主要作物为水稻，特色收入来自茶叶和生姜；村里办有1000亩村级茶园，并引进了兰花基地、电子厂和果品深加工厂等，解决约500人就业。[2]
据该页所载，2008年以来小密村陆续得到「梅江区文明村」「广东省民主法治示范村」「梅州市生态村」的称号。[2]
