历史沿革[edit]
旧稻园大队包括福地、乌坭埔、稻园三个大自然村，1970年冬为方便管理一分为三，稻园大队下设七个生产队。1980年田地分到户，第六队拆成第六、第十队，第五队拆成第五、八、九队，合计十个队。此后大队改为管理区，1999年7月再改设稻园村民委员会。[2]
地名由来[edit]
相传先人在一片略高的埔地上搭草寮居住，周围种水稻、蔬菜，养鸭养鱼。因野牛、狼、野猪常来侵害家禽家畜和庄稼，便用木、竹、草、牛粪等把住处和稻田围成一个大园，称“稻园”。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，稻园村在「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单中。[1]
