前身是1958年成立的隔岗生产大队，1987年改设管理区，1998年起称隔岗村民委员会。村名因村委会驻地设在隔岗村而来。[1]

村域面积14.6平方公里，耕地1001亩，人口1801人。[1]
经济[edit]
竹子平地山地皆可种，用作建材、造纸和编织。收成后供应附近纸厂，加工成出口的会纸。[1]
