袁村在封开县渔涝镇西北，11个村民小组，1000余人，面积约10平方千米，到县城约50千米，到渔涝集镇1千米[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
1950年设乡，此后经1955年初级社、1957年高级社，于1958年成为生产大队，1987年起为村民委员会[2]。村委会设在袁村，因而得名[3]。
经济[edit]
以砂糖桔为主，博雅地名网称这里自九十年代中期起家家有小果园，有的多达百余亩[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2021年9月，列入「第二批广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」名单，品类为蔬菜[1]。
