历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，新中国成立前属高要十区的南村乡。建国初期，南村乡与芙罗乡、杜村乡合为三联乡；1958年三联乡撤销，南村、杜村、芙罗各设大队，归金星公社，次年改属蚬岗公社。1983年改乡，1987年设村委会，1998年称南村村民委员会。[1]
概况[edit]
全村544户、1881人，党员46人，耕地2200亩，山地四千五百亩，村内有一家针织企业（均未注明年份）。2019年9月，南村村进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
