横水村是广东省茂名市信宜市合水镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的南部，辖21个村民小组。据博雅地名网所载村情，全村在册451户、2403人，总面积3.6平方千米，耕地911亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时期属白龙堡第七、第八村；随后1949年后初期为第七、第八村农会；之后1952年与庙湾同属横水乡政府；再后来1958年成立横水高级社；接着1960年大塘、横水各为一个生产大队，1961年并为横水大队；又经历1983年建乡，1987年起设村民委员会，1989年一度称管理区办事处，1999年又恢复村民委员会之名并沿用。[1]
地名由来[edit]
据博雅地名网，村名的由来是：一条横伸而入、汇入合水河的横水河流过，村驻地在河岸。[1]

兴办养殖基地，并投资了股份制水电站。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2023年4月入列“「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」”创建单位名单；2019年9月入选“「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」”创建单位名单。[1]
