湖塘村是吴川市振文镇的行政村，在吴川市区西面，隔江与市区相望，梅塘公路从村中通过。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

湖塘曾是三江的一部分：1952年为吴梅县三江行政村，1957年划入吴川县振文区的王屋乡，称三江小乡，1958年入三江大队，1961年入三江小公社。1964年分出湖塘大队，隶振文公社；1983年起为乡委会，1987年为管理区，1998年3月成立湖塘村民委员会。^[1]

全村11个自然村，6730人（1374户），耕地面积1792亩。各村公路已硬化，电话入户率94%，96%的村民用上自来水。^[1]

辖区有初级中学1所、完全小学2所，在校学生1900多人，教学楼4幢，共5800平方米。^[1]
