沙洲村是吴川市振文镇西面的行政村，距吴川市区约10公里，樟大线从村边经过。^[1]^[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年建沙洲行政村，其后降为小乡（1957年），次年变作大队。1961年随山圩小公社，1964年才又单设沙洲大队，隶振文人民公社。1983年起称沙洲乡，1987年称管理区，1998年成为沙洲村民委员会。^[1]

全村分17个自然村，8901人（1886户），耕地面积3035亩。当时各自然村的公路约九成已硬化，电话入户率94%，96%的村民用上自来水。辖区有初级中学1所、完全小学3所，在校学生1800多人。^[1]^[2]

其中沙洲自然村在材料写成前的几年里花了逾千万元，建成环村路、排污管网、文化楼、广场、生态公园和灯光球场；2007年湛江市评它为自然生态文明示范村和最美的村庄。^[1]^[2]
