历史沿革[edit]
村名有两种说法：一说黄花基附近有圆形水潭，旧称圆潭，谐音成源潭；一说祖辈从清远源潭迁来，沿用了旧地名。[1]解放初期设念仁乡农民协会，隶属乐平区公所；1958年9月隔坑、念仁、大湖、五溪合并为念溪营；1960年1月分为大湖、念仁、隔坑三个大队。[2]1983年12月，大湖、念仁两个大队合并成源潭乡人民政府；1987年2月改为源潭村民委员会，隔坑另设村民委员会；2004年7月8日，源潭、隔坑两村委会合并为新的源潭村民委员会。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2020年12月，村上榜「2020年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」；2021年9月认定为「第二批全国乡村治理示范村」；2021年12月获评2021年广东省卫生村；2023年11月入选「广东百千万工程首批典型县镇村」。[1]
