历史沿革[edit]
相传开村时村民只有黄、唐两姓，故名黄塘。[1]1951年成立黄塘乡农民协会，隶属三水第三区公所；1957年改为黄塘营；1958年分为黄塘、海丰两个大队；1984年两队合并设黄塘乡人民政府；1987年改设黄塘村民委员会，归南边镇管辖；到1991年改设管理区，1997年复设村民委员会。[2]2003年7月，南边街道并入乐平镇，黄塘村归乐平镇。[2]
经济与建设[edit]
2020年8月，黄塘村以乐平雪梨瓜入选「首批广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」名单。[1]近年来，村里提升北江沿线80多间农房的外观，建设“一棵树”农文旅项目，把这一带办成露营和旅拍的去处，并投入380多万元做社滘古村落的活化工程。[1]2017年10月，入选第一批广东省卫生村；2024年8月入选「佛山市百千万工程第二批典型镇村」。[1]
