地名由来与历史沿革[edit]
村址四周环河，形如圆镜，「鉴」通「镜」，故名古鉴。[1] 古鉴在1958年成立大队，1983年变为古鉴乡，1987年变为古鉴村，1990年易名为管理区，1999年易名为村委会，一直沿用。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村辖13个村民小组，常住约四千四百人，外来者八千多人。[2] 村里利用凤翔工业聚集片区带动发展，已被评为省卫生村。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月列入「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的名单（2018年度）；2021年10月、2022年10月进入「淘宝村」名单；2022年1月获定为「广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位（2021年度）。[1]
