历史沿革[edit]
该地原叫大门乡，1958年建立大门大队，1983年再名为大门乡，1987年名为大门村，1990年变为大门管理区，2001年10月19日撤村建居，设居委会。[1][2]
人口与组织[edit]
社区共1700多户，户籍人口约6900人，外来流动者约一万二千人，下设5个居民小组：沙头、沙圩与陶瓷厂为第一组，白南、白北为第二组，隔水、小湾为第三组，福田、北村、田心和林场片区为第四组，石牌、桥头、厚街与七八一七家属区为第五组。[2] 社区另有1个股份合作社，属下12个股份小组，经济各自独立核算。[2]
教育与设施[edit]
教育养老机构有大门敬老院、大门幼儿园、大门小学、凤城中学和梁球锯职校，共建有13个灯光篮球场，田心公园面积约2000平方米。[2] 社区党委成立于2015年1月，由原党总支升格而来。[2]
