文秀社区是佛山市顺德区大良街道下辖的社区，大良街道办事处设在这里，辖区面积1.128平方公里。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
社区前身称东区，此后相继叫过东西联区、东西区管理区、东西区街道办事处等，其间有一段是东西区革命委员会；1996年5月28日换用「文秀区街道办事处」名称，同年7月1日启用新公章，2000年12月易名为文秀居委会。[1] 社区党委设于2005年1月，行政服务站设于2010年10月。[1]
人口[edit]
社区面积1.128平方公里，常住26800人，户籍者占16836人，外来者占9964人；居民小组共8个，名为真庆、外村、绿田、环城、汇源、东胜、县前和文秀。[1][2]
名胜古迹[edit]
辖区内的大良罗氏大宗祠在蓬莱路，是大良北门罗氏的祠堂，号称「本原堂」，始建于明代，保留晚清建筑风格。[1] 文秀钟楼在钟楼公园内，据博雅地名网景点条目兴建于明嘉靖三年（1524年）；社区自述则称钟楼岗上的钟楼建于康熙三十年（1691年），楼内大铜钟于乾隆三十九年（1774年）重铸，两处记载不一致。[1][2] 人民礼堂在梯云岗上，兴建于1958年，1960年12月启用，直到1984年都是顺德县（市）开会的场所。[1] 此外有西山庙、1959年建的顺德区革命烈士纪念碑、顺德区第一中学旧址和梁球琚图书馆等。[2]
