历史沿革[edit]
据《顺德县地名志》，明初已有人定居于此，村内原有天后庙，曾称天后市。后来因附近有凤山，民间又常把鸡与凤并提，山被改称鸡洲岗，村名随之改为鸡洲[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网转载的伦教街道资料，共1241户，住有约1.2万人（含长丰苑），户籍人口4556人，外来者4360多人；2010年工业产值约10.03亿元，农业产值约5800万元[1]。鸡洲村进入2022年“淘宝村”名单，又列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」[1]。
