历史沿革[edit]
常教居委会成立于2001年8月21日，合并了新民、北海两个村和原伦教居委会，三者即所谓“两村一居”[1]。合并后社区下设城区、新民、北海三个资产管理办，新民、北海两个股份合作社也保留下来[1]。
人口[edit]
据博雅地名网转载的伦教街道资料，社区有一万多户、约3.12万常住居民，流动人口约5万[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
梁廷枏故居在社区的藤花巷聚星里4号，为清代三间两廊式民居，面阔15米，进深9.5米。梁廷枏（1796年至1861年），字章冉，号藤花亭主人，曾在林则徐幕下，著有《粤海关志》《海国四说》。故居于2006年10月25日列入第四批佛山市文物保护单位[2]。
