地名与沿革[edit]
据社区材料，清代这里有佘屋、许屋、鲁屋、林屋等村落，统称碧头；因靠近河流，形成碧头墟，曾是东莞、宝安两地最大的货物交易场所。[3] 民国年间，蔡氏从公明买入佘屋大围村，形成蔡、许、佘三大姓为主的村落，沿用碧头之名。[3] 碧头村民委员会设于1987年6月，居民委员会由它在2004年7月改成，社区工作站又在2008年3月设立。[1][3]

社区面积2.21平方千米，茅洲河碧道在社区内长约5.6公里；社区的龙舟队多次在省和街道的比赛中夺冠。[2] 原居民以蔡姓最多。[3] 2022年3月，入选「第一批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区」。[1]
