历史沿革[edit]
1958年设祖岭大队，1983年改设祖岭乡政府，1987年设村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年重设村委会，沿用至今。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村情材料（博雅地名网转载，未注明年份）记，全村204户、1014人，耕地1150亩（水田490亩、旱地560亩），林地10000多亩，另有荒漠化石花地5000多亩；贫困户116户、572人。村内有完全小学和卫生站各1所，作物有水稻、玉米、辣椒、黄烟，西瓜试种成功。材料认为这里适合种红花油茶、反季节蔬菜和黄烟。[1]
荣誉[edit]
祖岭村在2019年9月列入2018年度民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位。[1]
