历史沿革[edit]
1958年设选家洞大队，1983年改设选家洞乡政府，1987年设村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年重设村委会，沿用至今。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村情材料（博雅地名网转载，未注明年份）记，全村454户、2329人，总面积1100.3公顷，耕地1331亩（水田963亩、旱地368亩），林地769.7公顷；贫困户187户、871人。境内有小型水库1座，村内有完全小学和卫生站各1所，以水稻和养猪为主。[1]镇情介绍另记，2002年有客商在选家洞的半冲兴建了一座350千瓦的水电站。[3]
荣誉[edit]
选家洞村获评广东省卫生村（2023年度，2024年3月命名）。[1]
著名人物[edit]
谢又生（1909年至1994年），字实秋，少将，乳源县人，出生地为今云岩镇选家洞村；早年在广州国民大学求学，并受过军官训练。[2]
