历史沿革[edit]
1958年设出水岩大队，1983年改设出水岩乡政府，1987年设村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年重设村委会，沿用至今。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村情材料（博雅地名网转载，未注明年份）记，全村262户、1376人，农田900亩，林地400公顷；贫困户115户、527人。村民以种植水稻为主，稻田在年景好时亩产稻谷约900公斤。该材料还写到，村集体经济薄弱，村委会全年收入不足1万元，欠债共11.5万元。[1]
荣誉[edit]
出水岩村是2021年度的广东省卫生村（省爱卫会2021年12月授予）；2019年9月列入2018年度民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位；2026年3月又被认定为省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
著名人物[edit]
廖亶聪（1910年至1950年），字智轩，云岩出水岩村人，出身省立韶州高等师范学校，先在梅花小学教书，后来做过高富乡乡长，并在乳源县第四区任调查员。[2]
