历史沿革[edit]
斗湾1958年设大队，1983年改乡政府，1987年设村民委员会，1989年改管理区，1998年复设村民委员会[3]。据应山村的族人相传，白氏先祖在1081年（北宋元丰四年）由长沙迁来斗湾，1407年又有一支迁往应山[2]。
人口民族[edit]
镇政府2020年的概况称，全镇白姓约6000人，主要分布在斗湾、应山、塘村、紫溪等村[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
斗湾村委会辖区内的凤凰岭上，现仍留有凤山书院的遗址[1]。
