历史沿革[edit]
桃坪1958年设大队，1983年成立乡政府，1987年设村民委员会，1989年改称管理区，1998年重设村民委员会[2]。一篇游记称，该村原归紫溪大队，1970年代末划出，自立桃坪大队[3]。
地理环境[edit]
据村民所写的文章，桃坪村在乐昌市北部，离黄圃镇十四公里远，要沿Y725乡道，经庆云镇的坦前、兰坪等村才到，再往北接湖南宜章县杨梅山镇香花村委会的九羊村；游记作者称湘粤古道穿村而过[3]。
人口民族[edit]
同一篇文章说，村里有谷、胡、李、曾、郑、邱、吴、白八个姓氏，以谷姓、胡姓人口最多[3]。
文化[edit]
2024年，乐昌市老区促进会报道，经广东省、韶关市政府批准，乐昌市有5个镇的9个村委会、104个村庄被认定为革命老区村庄，黄圃镇仅桃坪村委会的3个村在其中[1]。镇政府2020年的概况还提到，桃坪属于朱德领导湘南暴动时的根据地之一[4]。
